Kutsch – cook the market
This long-established watering-hole in the Viennese district of Währing, formerly a distillery, has been carefully renovated. The technical installations were also brought up to date, transforming the establishment into a contemporary cosmopolitan eatery without sacrificing any of its historic charm.
Removal of the inserted ceiling restored the space to its original imposing height of nearly four metres, ensuring maximum impact. At the same time, natural daylight flooding in through the large, timber-framed windows makes for a bright, welcoming atmosphere.
The generously proportioned bar is centrally placed opposite the entrance, encouraging guests to linger. Every piece of furniture in the space was self-designed and handcrafted by carpenters.
