Studentenheim Canisiusgasse
This historic building in Vienna dating from the early 1910s was formerly a residence for members of the Society of Jesus (Jesuit order). Cleverly repurposed and expertly restored, it has now been transformed into state-of-the-art accommodation for students. While complying with the numerous listed building regulations, the interior was redesigned to maximise the amount of private living space: each room is now equipped with its own galley kitchen and sanitary facilities.
The former chapel and refectory have been revitalised to provide a quiet study area and a space for social events. Even the former canteen kitchen has found a new lease of life: transformed into a gym and fitness space, it now serves as a lively focal point for the young residents.
